New donors continue to drive Attorney General Rob McKenna’s campaign forward, as he posted another strong month of fundraising in October by raising over $600,000 dollars and finishing the month with over $2.6 million raised since his June 8 announcement for Governor.
“People from all over the state are voting for a New Direction for Washington by joining my campaign,” said McKenna, who is working to become the first Republican elected Governor in Washington State since 1980. “I am very thankful for the more than 11,000 new donors who have decided to help me turn our state around by focusing on private sector job creation and improving our schools to prepare our children for the jobs of the future.”
The McKenna campaign continues to set the pace for total dollars raised among gubernatorial candidates, having collected $603,211.56 in October and $2,615,207.60 overall, from nearly 14,000 donors. His October contributions included $5,200 transferred with approval from donors to his Attorney General re-election campaign. The campaign had $1,535,913.13 cash-on-hand, with no reported debt, going into November.
